ISL MATCH REVIEW FCG VS NEUFC [04/10/2024]

FC Goa managed to get past NEUFC securing one point.

After a rollercoaster match with 6 goals observed.

       • 47' Armando gave Goa the lead
       • 51' Albiach equalised 
       • 56' Alaeddine Ajaraie gave the visitors                        the lead
       • 90+4' Borja Herrera equalised for Goa 
       • 90+8 Robin Yadav saw Red.


The visitors opened the scoresheet as Nestor Albiach scored in the 6th minute.
The Gaurs' recovery was initiated by Armando Sadiku's conversion of a penalty in additional time during the first half 45+2.

The second half was as entertaining as the first half.
Fcgoa took the lead as Sadiku's brace helped Goa make it 2-1 in the 47th minute.
The Gaurs happiness was short-lived as
Albiach levelled for NEUFC in the 51st minute.

Minutes after the equaliser NEUFC took the lead back as Alaeddine Ajaraie made a run beat 2 defenders, took his shot and found the back of the net.

NEUFC’s goalkeeper made some exceptional saves throughout the game.

NEUFC was exceptional in the attacking phase while Goa lacked the defensive masterclass.

90 minutes on the clock and Goa determined to equalise the match.
 
Goa wasn't giving up so easily. 

After what seemed to be the visitor's victory fcgoa managed an equalising comeback.

After threatening the visitor's defence,
 Borja Herrera scored in the extra time at 90+4 minutes from a wonderful assist by Dejan Drazic which proved to be the point divider of the game.

Robin Yadav was shown a red card in the dying minutes of the match after receiving his second yellow of the night.

The match ended FCG 3-3 NEUFC.

FC Goa are now in 4th position with NEUFC right behind them.

The match progressed with great determination as both the teams fought for the 3 points. FC Goa and Jamshedpur FC both followed the 4-2-3-1 formation.
