The second half showdown saw Barcelona owning the Bernabeu after thrashing them 0-4 at home.


The first half ended with a draw despite efforts from Kylian Mbappe, which were flagged after being offside.

 

Barcelona's impressive high line proved to be a huge success in this match, as Real Madrid were caught in the offside trap 12 times, with Kylian Mbappe alone being caught offside 6 times in the first half. 

 

Real Madrid's 2 goals were disallowed after Mbappe was caught offside.


Lewandowski gave Barcelona the lead with a well-timed assist from Marc Casado in the 54th minute. 

 

It's said, "Never score first against Real Madrid."

So Lewandowski scored another goal from a cross by Balde, firing in a header, leaving Linin no chance to save it.

Lamal put Barcelona 3 goals ahead from a wonderful assist by Raphinha.

 

Barcelona showed no signs of stopping.

Raphinha makes it 4-0 after Martinez launched a pass to Madrid's half, and Raphinha, carefully staying onside, fires into the net.

 

Ancelotti's side failed to disrupt Barcelona's rhythm and couldn't save themselves from the high line.


Barcelona are now on top of the table with an extensive 6 points difference from their arch rivals.


Barcelona have officially beaten Real Madrid's 42-match unbeaten streak and safeguarded their 43-match unbeaten streak.
