ISL FINAL 2023-24 MBSG V/S MCFC

Show-time for the ISL 2023-24 final.

Mumbai City FC successfully defeated Mohun Bagan SuperGiants 3-1 to clinch the Indian Super League 2023-24 title after making a comeback from being a goal down at halftime

The match guaranteed a fierce battle as both the teams previously faced each other to fight for the shield where MBSG emerged as the winner.


The match started with Mumbai trying their best to get an early lead. Fouls committed in this process which led to MBSG winning a free kick.


Both the teams continued to pressurise each other. Mumbai continued to attack but they missed their shots.


Lots of fouls were committed in the first half by both Mumbai and MBSG.


The crowd roared as Jason Cummings opened the scoresheet for MBSG just before halftime.


The second half began with fierce intensity, MBSG began the second half with a free kick and a corner but they missed their attempt.


Jorge Pereyra Diaz scored the equalising goal for Mumbai City FC in the 53rd minute assisted by Albert Noguera.


Both teams fight for the win as now their score is equal.


After a lot of fouls and delays in the match due to injuries, MCFC took the lead in the 81st minute as BIpin took his left-footed shot from the centre to the top left corner which was assisted by Jakub Vojtus.


MBSG continued to try to equalise but failed.


Extra 9 minutes added to the clock, enough for MCFC to score their third to claim the ISL trophy.


Jakub Vojtus scored in the 90+7 minute to make it 3-1 for MCFC.

MCFC sealed the victory for the second time against shield winners Mohun Bagan SuperGiants.


Mumbai City FC managed to silence a loud crowd at their stadium after successfully making a 3-goal comeback. This also led to the MBSG fans leaving the stadium before the final whistle was blown.
