ISL MATCH REVIEW FCG VS JFC [17/09/2024]

FC Goa faced Jamshedpur FC at the fortress in their first match of the Indian Super League.

  • 45+3’ Armando divides the sides 
  • 74’ Javier Siverio equalised after a penalty.
  • 90+3’ Jordan Murray handed JFC a late stunner.
Fcgoa kicked off the match with high intensity.

Fcgoa were completely invested in the attack which kept the visitors busy in defense for the first 4 minutes of the match.

Fcg was dominant in JFC's box.

Albino Gomes made crucial saves for Jamshedpur FC.
Albino Gomes had one of the highlight saves of the match as he saved Armando Sadiku's header.
JFC found their momentum and struck a few shots but Goa remained the dominant side.

FC Goa had registered 8 shots in 8 minutes since the match commenced.

By the 15th minute,
FCG had 13 touches in the JFCs box whereas JFC only managed to get 2 touches in fcgoa's box.

The two sides were not divided until Armando Sadikus' goal just before halftime separated the two sides.

Armando Sadiku pulled a long-range shot.
He received the ball, took his time, and shot the ball.
And of course, it was a goal.

The second half was dramatic as JFC was awarded a penalty in the 74th minute which turned the tables.

The penalty was awarded as Odei had pulled a shirt which led to him getting a yellow but the fall was an obvious dive.
The referee's decision may be from a different angle but the dive was a clever move to get the equalizer.

This one goal led to the confidence rise in JFC fueling that hunger for a lead.

They did manage to get the lead in the final minutes of extra time as Jordan Murray puts JFC in the lead against FC Goa in the 90+3 min

FC Goa failed to convert the last few chances of the match.

Fcgoa was dominant throughout the match and deserved to win.
