WC 2026 Qualifiers Qatar Vs India [11/06/2024]

Hopes came crashing down for India as a controversial goal robbed them of their chances to qualify for the third round of  FIFA WORLD CUP 2026 qualifiers.


Qatar emerged triumphant with a 2-1 victory over India, igniting fervent reactions among fans following the decisive equaliser.


The first half began with India holding their hopes high. Indias first broke through by a chance by Manvir Singh as he went one-on-one with the goalkeeper but wasn't successful.


In the 37th minute, the puzzle pieces synchronised elegantly. Brandon's perfect low pass to the box where Chhangte perfectly picked up and, needless to say, gave it an impeccable finish.


The first half ended as India claimed a 1-0 lead.


The second half wasn't as it seemed 

Qatar won a free-kick in the 75th minute.


The ball appeared to roll back going for a goal kick but Mohialdin darted the ball back into play and Yousef Aymen took his shot equalising the score.


Gurpreet Singh and the entire team had their protests but all in vain. 

The match officials tenaciously upheld their standing amidst the protest.

This contentious goal reignited Qatar's momentum, propelling them back into contention within the match.

This goal was known to be accompanied by another and of course, it was.

Minutes before the full-time, Al-Rawi shot perfectly past Gurpreet Singh in the bottom corner of the goalpost.


The match ended 2-1 in Qatar's favour.

The El Clasico The clash of Titans always guarantees goals. The second half showdown saw Barcelona owning the Bernabeu after thrashing them 0-4 at home. The time had arrived; Barcelona faced Bayern Munich yet again in the Champions League.   Barca had not defeated Bayern since May 2015.   They looked forward to avenging the 8-2 in 2020 and rightly did so.   Barca competed against Munich with Hansi Flick, the former coach of the visitors.   With the return of Gavi, Olmo, and Frankie de Jong, Barcelona looked complete in all aspects of the game.   The match started off with high intensity as Raphinha opened the scoresheet within the first minute of the game.   Bayern did try to equalise and were successful, but the goal was shortly ruled out as Kane was offside.   Harry Kane managed to equalise, making it Barcelona 1-1 Bayern in the 18th minute.   Barcelona weren't holding back.   Lewandowski helps Barcelona take the lead.
