Dani Carvajal and Vinícius Jr’s goal contribution puts Real Madrid ahead of Dortmund to extend their win streak to 15 UCL titles.
Borussia Dortmund appear in the first final since their loss to their rivals Bayern Munich in 2013.
Dortmund cleared the group of death, knocked out PSV in the knockout stages then later went on to win over Atletico Madrid and French champions PSG.
Real Madrid on the other hand, looked forward to securing their winning streak.
Madrid defeated RB Leipzig before triumphing over Manchester City in the quarter-finals and Bayern Munich in the semis.
The Germans had a fantasy first half in every aspect of the game except finishing. They had a whole of 3 major attempts.
The first closest chance was from Karim Adeyemi in the 21st minute.
There were more chances from Niclas Füllkrug hitting the post, Julian Brandt taking his low shots and Marcel Sabitzer’s shots were saved by Courtois.
The counterattacks of Dortmund need to be appreciated.
Real Madrid's defence did look a little shaken but were lucky given the misses Dortmund had.
The second half started getting more intense as both teams pushed forward to clinch the title.

Dortmund completely lost their confidence after conceding the goal.

Maatsen gave the ball away as there was miscommunication and Bellingham seized the opportunity. He fed the ball to Vinícius Jr. who had the perfect finish.

Niclas Füllkrug put one at the back of the net but the flag was raised.
The odds were definitely against Dortmund.
The match ended 2-0 as Real Madrid secured their 15th UCL.

Carlo Ancelotti secured his 5th title as a coach(3 with the current team and 2 with Milan) and Luka Modrić and Toni Kroos lifted the trophy for the 6th time as a player.
