- Spain paved their way to qualify for the EURO knockout stage.
The first half began with Spain dominating and the first chance came with a header from Pedri but was saved by Donnarumma.
Another chance for Spain was wasted after Williams headed the ball off-target.

Italy tried to attack but Fabian Luiz collected it and took it away from the danger.

In the 55th minute, Spain took the lead after Calafiori scored an own goal.
Williams slipped past the defenders and delivered a cross into the box.
Donnarumma made a slight touch before it deflected off Calafiori into his net.
Spain, determined to double their lead, beautifully played out from Italy’s pressure.
Williams made a run and fired his shot, hitting the crossbar before going out.
Spain had 16 shots, six of which were on target, and held 60% of the ball possession.
Italy on the other hand had 40% ball possession having 2 shots out of which none were on target in the 80th minute.
Italy gained momentum towards the end finding a way through.
Bryan Cristante attempted to touch it into the goal from a corner, but Unai Simon caught it.
Perez nutmegged the defenders and made a shot forcing Donnarumma to make a save.
The match ended with Spain 1-0 Italy.

The own goal from Calafiori in the 55th minute was the sole goal of the match which separated the two sides.
Spain won the group and confirmed their spot in the round of 16.
