EURO 2024 PORTUGAL VS CZECHIA [19/06/2024]

The match started with high intensity.


  • Ronaldo became the first player to feature in 6 euros.

  • Pepe became the oldest player to start in the euros.

  • Portugal won after a stoppage winner in the 90+2 minutes.


Portugal started the first half keeping a good spell of possession.


Ronaldo missed a couple of chances in front of the goal.


Czechia lost the ball a couple of times.


Czechia’s defence worked hard to keep them away from danger.


A major chance came from Ronaldo in the 32nd minute as he made a good run but Stanek made a great save to deny him that chance.


The Czechia defence was incredible at holding back Portugal from scoring.


Neither of the two sides had scored at the end of the first half.


Czechia maintained the defensive structure they played within the first half.

Lukas Provod scored, opening the scoresheet for Czechia.


Portugal tried to equalise as Jota tried to find but Czechia’s defence stood strong.


The tension in the Portuguese camp was visible.

It was an own goal as Stanek made a mess and pushed the ball away leading his defender to score.

The ball bounced off Robin Hranac and led to the net.


In the 87th minute jota scores from a rebound but their celebrations are interrupted after a quick VAR check as it confirms Ronaldo was offside.


4 minutes were added to the stoppage time.


Portugal took the lead!

Conceicao scored in the 90+2 minute to secure Portugal's victory.

It was another mistake from the back for Czechia.


He took his shirt off to celebrate and was eventually booked for this act.


The match ended Portugal 2-1 Czechia.

The super-sub Conceicao had only played 7 minutes after coming on from the bench and had 2 touches and one goal.


Czechia defended well throughout the match but Portugal emerged victorious after a stoppage stunner from Conceicao.
