EURO 2024 GERMANY V/S SCOTLAND [15/06/2024]
The first-ever European match got underway in style!
•Germany scored 5 goals to secure an easy win against Scotland.

Germany started off attacking from the very start of the kickoff.
Germany's first chance came from Wirtz but was saved by Angus Gunn who used his body to shield the goal.
Germany had 74% possession, as a result, Scotland's defence had to hustle extremely hard.
Germany scored the Euro's first goal.
It didn't take Wirtz long to put his name on the score sheet.
Kimmich, after receiving the ball, found Wirtz, who shot it. Gunn got a slight touch, but not enough to stop the ball from moving inside the net.
Wirtz became the youngest goal scorer in the opening game of the European Championship.
Germany was still dominating possession which made it difficult for Scotland to move past their half.
9 minutes after the first goal. Jamal Musiala doubles the lead
In the 25th minute, there was a collision as Christie brought down Musiala in the penalty box which led to the referee pointing to the box.
Scotland players' protests led to a VAR check which concluded that it wasn't a penalty.
Germany had their chances but Scotland yet had to reach its potential.
Minutes before the halftime whistle Germany got awarded a penalty after a VAR check for a tackle on Gundogan.
This circumstance also resulted in Scotland being reduced to ten men after Ryan Porteous was sent off for a tackle. Germany extended their lead after Kai Havertz converted from the penalty.
The second half was still being dominated by the Germans.
Yet again Germany increased their score in the 68th minute as Fullkurg made an instant impact on the game 5 minutes after being subbed in.
Fullkurg managed to get another in the 77th minute but the goal was overruled as he was offside.
Scotland built their score just minutes before full-time as Rudiger scored an own goal from a free-kick.
3 minutes were added to the match and Germany showed no signs of stopping.
Emre Can got hold of the ball and decided to take his shot.
This goal was the 5th of the night.
The match ended GER 5 - 1 SCO.
