The first half started with Chennaiyin FC dominating FC Goa and having an early start to the match as Rahim Ali opened the score sheet from an assist by Ninthoinganba Meetei in the 13th minute.


FC Goa, determined to win continued to push to equalise but they missed their attempts. 


FC Goa put an end to the celebrations of the visitors in the 33rd minute as Borja Herrera equalised.


2 minutes after an equaliser FC Goa was awarded a penalty and Sachu Siby was shown a red card for a foul in the penalty area.


Carlos Martínez took the penalty but missed. The penalty was then retaken as the goalkeeper moved forward his line.

Carlos Martínez handed FC Goa the lead after he converted the penalty.


The first half saw 4 minutes of added time.


FC Goa gave CFC a hard time as they tried to score their third goal of the night.

It was the 3rd minute of extra time and Brandon's goal gave FC Goa the third goal at the fortress from a wonderful assist by Noah Sadaoui

His first goal this season which he dedicated to his late father.

The start of the second half saw Noah Sadaoui being subbed off and being replaced by Paulo Retre.


Carlos Martínez continued to attack but his shot was high and wide.


In the 55th minute, Chennaiyin FC made a change as Irfan Yadwad was replaced by Ayush Adhikari


A minute later Chennaiyin FC made another change as Jordan Murray was brought in to replace Cristian Battocchio.


Paulo Retre took a shot from outside the box but it was too high.


Borja Herrera also attempted but missed.


FC Goa took control of the game as CFC looked a bit out of place.


FC Goa continued to attack.


Carlos Martínez took a shot but his shot was blocked.


FC Goa made two substitutions in the 67th minute. Udanta Singh and Leander D'Cunha were brought in as they replaced Boris Singh and Seriton Fernandes respectively.


Chennaiyin FC made a substitution as Mobashir Rahman replaced Ryan Edwards in the 69th minute.


Brandon Fernandes took his shot but was blocked.


GOAL!!!!


It was the 72nd minute and Carlos Martínez scored his second goal at the fortress which was assisted by Udanta Singh making the score 4- 1.


Goa made their last two substitutions as Borja Herrera and Brandon Fernandes were subbed off and Brison Fernandes and Raynier Fernandes were brought in.


Jordan Murray took his shot but was saved in the centre of the goal.


Goa continue to strike not giving CFC the time to process.


Carlos Martínez and Raynier Fernandes continued to take their shots but they were blocked.


Jordan Murray missed his attempt as his shot was high and wide.


The second half ended.


The match ended with a score of 4-1 as Borja Herrera scored his second goal since arriving at Goa, Brandon Fernandes scored his first goal of the season and Carlos Martínez scored a brace.
