The stadium achieved peak attendance levels FC Goa dominated the first half. Manolo Marquez's side highlighted their dominance in the 16th minute as Boris scored in the initial stage of the match beautifully assisted by Mohammad Yasir giving Goa an early advantage. The second half continued to be dominated by Goa and was seen as Goa managed to have a 2-goal lead. Brandon scored a long-range shot which no doubt had to be a goal. Brandon’s form and ability don’t go unnoticed as he has now scored 3 goals in 3 matches. It seemed Goa had everything to keep the clean sheet and take the win but football is all about comeback and hope till the final whistle is blown. Mumbai City FC did prove that. Mumbai relied on the substitutes who combined well to score. Goa's defence looked unstable after the first goal. The 5-...

El Clasico Match Review [22/04/2024]

Bellingham's stoppage time goal seals the victory of the El Clasico at the Santiago Bernabeu.   The match was an exemplary start for the visitors, as Christensen's header led Barcelona to take the lead in the very 6th minute of the match.   The joy of the visitors was short-lived as Vinicius Jr. equalised the match, scoring the penalty which was conceded as Cubarsi brought down Lucas Vázquez.   Barcelona tried to win their lead back.   Yamal flicks the ball near the goalpost. It was not clear whether it was stopped on the line or crossed the line due to the absence of the goal line technology. The VAR was used.   The VAR took a long time to check.   Much to Barcelona's dismay, it was not a goal. More like a disgrace, as being the biggest league in the world, there wasn't any goal-line technology used.    There was a penalty appeal made by Barcelona on a challenge against Yamal, but the referee pointed for a Madrid goa...

PSG beat Barcelona to enter the semis. Everything seemed in favour of Barcelona, from leading in the first leg of the quarter-final to the first goal of the night scored by Raphinha from a wonderful assist by Yamal. But the happiness of the hosts didn’t last long. The entire match took a 180-degree turn when Araujo was sent off in the 29th minute for a foul on Barcola leaving Barcelona to ten men with an hour to play ahead. The decision taken was too harsh on Barcelona not deserving a red card, a yellow would be the answer. The red card led to the confidence boost of PSG players. The match escalated quickly after Dembele opened the score sheet for the visitors against his former team. The first half ended with an aggregated score of 4-3 PSG continued to command the game in the second half Barcelona tried their best to control the match one man down, but it wasn’t enough, Vitinhas goal in the 54th minute levelled the game.
