EURO 2024 SPAIN VS FRANCE [10/07/2024]

Spain knocked out World Cup finalists to book their spot in the finals.

France opens the scoresheet.
Spain's equaliser from Yamal was fantastic 
Spain took the lead.

The first half began with both sides competing for the final spot.

Spain held possession as Laporte played the ball to Yamal who beautifully bought it down.
The play shifted to Fabian Ruiz, he crossed the ball but no one was there to receive it.

Both teams split the possession evenly. Mbappe was passed the ball by Kolo Muani. Jesus Navas moved up, clearing it from the French captain.

France opened the scoresheet in the 9th minute Kolo Muani made a free header and finished with no error.
This was the first goal France scored from open play.

The French defence stood strong amidst the Spaniards.

The French captain made another attempt but Nacho blocked it.

In the 21st minute Yamal equalised for Spain.
He struck the ball at the top left corner leaving Maignan with no chance of saving it.
This goal makes him the youngest-ever goalscorer in the history of Euros.

4 minutes after Yamal's equaliser Olmo gave Spain the lead.
The shot bounced off Kounde into the net but since Olmo's initial shot was on target, he was awarded the goal.

The Spanish defence stood strong.
35 minutes into the match, Spain dominated with 57 % of ball possession whereas France had 43%.
Both the teams have 3 shots with 1 shot on target.

The first half ended Spain 2-1 France.

The second half commenced with Spain making beautiful high presses.

Spain enjoyed a good spell of possession.
Saliba cleared a ball that Morata had through Cucurella.

France had their chances but Spain stood victorious.

The match ended Spain 2-1 France.

Olmo's goal divided the 2 sides.
Yamals strike and Olmo's footwork was a delight to watch.
