LALIGA Match Review Sevilla V/S Barcelona [27/05/2024]
Barcelona secured a 2-1 win against Sevilla in the last match of the season.
The first half began, and Barcelona took a fast start as Pedri stole the ball outside the box, his cutback picked Yamal, but Salas made a block.
Barcelona dominated the midfield.
15 minutes into the first half, Lewandowski scored the opener. Cancelo clips the perfect cross where Lewandowski arrived and scored. It was a perfect assist and a wonderful finish.
Barcelona dominated possession in the first 20 minutes.
Sevilla tried to equalise, but their shot was saved by Ter Stegen.
Lukebakio couldn't make it past Cubarsi but Kounde’s mistake gave them the ball.
En-Nesyri’s goal helps Sevilla equalise in the 31st minute marking their way back into the game.

Barcelona fight back for their lead, as Pedri is denied by Sevilla's goalkeeper.

The second half began with Sevilla starting it with the same momentum they built towards the end of the first half.
They start well as Ocampos links up with Soumare before Fermin intervenes with a well-timed tackle.
Barcelona took back control of the game. Meanwhile, Sevilla had proved effective on the counterattacks.
Pedri tried linking up with Fermin who took the shot which was saved but the offside flag was raised.
Fermin made sure to put his name up on the scoresheet.
59th minute and a solid pass from Gundogan from outside the area to Fermin who drove the ball towards the goal before taking his shot.
The score is now Sevilla 1-2 FCB.
Both teams fighting for the last win of the season.
Ter Stegen has had to be in full action a few times making crucial saves.
Sevilla pushed harder as they reached closer to the last 15 minutes of the match.
There was 5 minutes of added time.
Kounde won a free kick in the dying minutes of the match.
Gundogan's foul in the final minutes of added time gave Sevilla a free kick and Ramos stepped up to take it and curled the ball over the crossbar.
The match ended 1-2 with Barcelona emerging victorious.

This match was Xavi's last match as a head coach for Barcelona after he was sacked by the management and the board.
Barcelona finished the season in second place whereas Sevilla on the other hand finished in 14th place.
Lewandowski’s goal was his 19th goal of the season and Fermin scored his 8th goal of the season.
